Corded Wave Bay Window Curtain Track
Made to measure and pre-shaped to your bay, combining the smooth, evenly spaced folds of Wave curtains with convenient cord operation.
A good choice for tall windows, larger curtains or simply when you would rather open and close your curtains without pulling directly on the fabric.
Is the Corded Wave Track right for you?
Choose this track when you want the clean, flowing appearance of Wave curtains together with the convenience of cord control.
Made for Wave curtains
Linked Wave gliders keep the curtain folds evenly spaced as they travel around the bay.
Cord operated
Open and close your curtains using the control cords rather than pulling directly on the curtain fabric.
Made for your bay
We shape the track before delivery using your measurements, so there is no bending or cutting to do at home.
How a Corded Wave Track works
The track combines two systems. Linked Wave gliders control the spacing between the curtain folds, while the cord mechanism moves the curtains along the track.
This means you get the regular Wave appearance without needing to pull the curtains themselves backwards and forwards.
- Linked Wave gliders
- 60mm or 80mm spacing
- Cord-operated curtain movement
- Pre-shaped to your bay before delivery
Why choose cords instead of hand drawing?
Cord operation is mainly about convenience. It can be particularly useful where the curtains are tall, the window is difficult to reach or you simply prefer not to handle the curtain fabric every day.
Tall curtains
The cords give you a consistent operating position without reaching up or pulling on the curtain edge.
Keep hands off the fabric
Useful for delicate or light-coloured curtains where repeated handling of the leading edge is something you would rather avoid.
Easy everyday operation
A controlled pull on the cord opens or closes the curtains without needing to walk them around the shape of the bay.
How the Wave system creates the folds
The Wave part of this track works in the same way as our other Wave tracks. Linked gliders maintain an even distance between each fold as the curtains move.
60mm or 80mm Wave?
Both options operate in the same way. The difference is mainly the size and appearance of the finished folds.
80mm Wave
Creates broader, deeper folds for a softer and more flowing appearance.
60mm Wave
Creates tighter, more compact folds where you want a slightly neater Wave profile.
Not sure?
Neither spacing is inherently better. It mainly comes down to the appearance you prefer and the room available for the folds.
Shaped and assembled before it reaches you
The track is made from your bay measurements and the bends are formed before delivery.
We also assemble the cord system as part of the track so you are not trying to turn a straight DIY kit into a working corded bay track at home.
Properly formed bends are particularly important with a corded Wave system because both the gliders and operating mechanism need to travel cleanly around the shape of the bay.
Each curtain can be operated independently
A typical pair of curtains has its own cord control, usually positioned at either side of the bay.
Left curtain
One control operates the curtain travelling from the left side towards the centre.
Right curtain
A separate control operates the curtain travelling from the right side towards the centre.
Neat centre closure
The track is arranged so the two curtains meet neatly at the centre of the bay when closed.
Wall or ceiling fixing
The track can be supplied for wall or ceiling fixing depending on your bay and where you want the curtains to hang.
Ceiling fix
A neat option where the ceiling gives you the best position for the Wave folds to move freely.
Wall fix
Suitable where there is enough wall space and the curtain position works better away from the ceiling.
Mixed fixing
Some bay layouts can use ceiling fixing within the bay and wall fixing on suitable straight returns.
Wave curtains need clearance around the bay
Wave curtains fold backwards and forwards beneath the track, so they need enough space to clear window handles, sills and other obstructions.
This is particularly important through the bends, where the folds must be able to travel without rubbing against the window.
The measuring and ordering process will help you establish the correct position for the track.
Supplied with cord safety tensioners
Because this track uses operating cords, the cord controls need to be installed correctly and kept under tension.
The necessary safety tensioners are supplied with the track, together with guidance on positioning and fitting them.

The useful technical details, kept together so they are easy to check before ordering.
You will need curtains made for Wave heading
The linked gliders maintain the spacing, but the curtains also need the correct Wave heading and hook arrangement for the system to create the finished Wave effect.
Wave heading
Your curtains need suitable Wave heading tape with the hooks positioned correctly for the spacing you choose.
Existing Wave curtains
If you already own Wave curtains, check whether they have been made for 60mm or 80mm Wave spacing.
Ordinary curtain headings
Conventional pencil pleat, pinch pleat, eyelet or tab-top curtains will not create the Wave effect simply by hanging them from Wave gliders.
