Can I fit double curtain tracks to my ceiling?

If I want to hang voile and curtains separately, on a left hand bay type but actually one side a window and the other bifold doors, can I get a double track or do I need two tracks, one in front of the other. I’m presuming ceiling-fitting would be best for this?
Hi Des
Thanks for getting in touch and you are correct ceiling fixed would look the best. Also, it would be the most practical way of doing this job. Rather than having double curtain track brackets. Just order 2 tracks to fit parallel to each other. You may need to wrap your main curtains around the ends to block any gap. You can do this by ordering small end tracks. Or you can fit screw eyes to the ceiling on the ends. Then simply put the last couple of curtain hooks into the screw eyes to support the wrap around. We use them sometimes on bay windows to block the gap. The video below shows how these work.
If your worried about fixing a curtain track and hanging curtains from a ceiling. Then check out some of the
videos on this page here. You will see there is nothing to be worried about.
Also as you expected you will simply need 2 tracks on each side. One in front of the other with a 10cm gap between. More space between your tracks if you're planning on hanging wave-style curtains.
Another thing to think about is the curtain configuration. Do you plan on having single curtains on each side. Then they close to meet in the corner of the room. I would say looking at your room photo that would be the best way to approach this project. We have 2 ceiling mount white curtain track options. Our
regular ceiling fix track. Then our
slimline ceiling fix curtain track.
Both options work equally well. They will both hang any domestic weight/size curtains. Even if they have thermal/blackout lining. The only difference is the style of the tracks.
Another thing to consider is whether you want hand draw curtain tracks. Maybe with
curtain draw rods to open the curtains. The video here will show you what these curtains draw rods are all about.
Or maybe you would prefer to have
cord-operated curtain tracks. Each side would have its own control.
You could mix and match with the corded track for the main curtains. Then a hand draw track for the sheer curtains behind. If you like this idea then select the corded track and the slimline track. The track profile for both looks identical.
Finally, the vast majority of customers choose white tracks to blend in with white ceilings. We do also offer a
silver track. That looks really contemporary.
If you're not sure you can manage to fit any of our curtain tracks. then take a look at our fitting videos below.

All the best
