Hi. Welcome to Ezeurtains. And I want to chat with you about our slimline curtain tracks. Bay windows, straight, we can bend them to fit pretty much any bay window shape.
And there are two reasons why you choose the slimline track. One is you just like the look of the slimmer profile. And two, sometimes there are practical reasons such as inward opening windows or you may have shutters on your windows, and the shutter doors need to open underneath the track. It's a really smooth working track and will hold pretty much any size domestic weight curtains, wide, long, blackout, doesn't really matter. So let's have a look at how well they move across this track.
So there you go, really smooth working curtains. So any size like I said before, and they will glide like a dream.
Let's have a look at the track itself and the bracket options that go with this track. So we've got the, track here and it's a real sturdy track and you can barely put any twist on it. And once this is fitted to the brackets, wall or ceiling fix, it there's almost no flex in it at all.
Now the brackets, we've got three wall brackets here. We got the four and a half centimeter, seven and a half centimeter, and the ten centimeter brackets so you can project further off the wall should you need to. And then finally, we've got the TopFix bracket here that's a really neat slim bracket and this has a little cover that covers it so that once it's fitted you don't see the screw fixings.
So if you decide you would like to buy one of these tracks, you can get a price to fit your window perfectly on the calculator at the bottom of this page.
Seen the "bend it yourself" curtain tracks? Don't want the plastic or the soft metal curtain tracks you bend over your knee?
Want a better solution that doesn't cost a small fortune. You can't tell if any of the tracks you have seen are suitable? Don't want spend money and reget it?
Need a track that works really well and will last for many years to come. While also looking neat and discreet.
Then our slimline bay window curtain tracks are a great option. These hand draw tracks are strong enough to handle any domestic size, weight curtains. While still gliding smoothly. They are GUARANTEED to fit or we remake No quibble.

Hi. I want to show you how easy it is to order a slimline bay window curtain trap from Ezecurtains. But before I do that, I want to assure you that if something should go wrong, and it rarely does, and your track arrives and it's not the right size, not the right shape, we work out what went wrong and we remake quickly so you can order in confidence. So let's have a look at the order form now.
The first thing we're going to do is gonna select a size. So you're going to measure around your bay window, and you're going to measure in the bay, and you're going to measure out on the returns if it's coming on the returns. Use that total size, and it doesn't have to be super accurate at the moment, and select one of the price bands on the calculator here.
And then next is track fixing tool. And I'm going to select option two here, which is a popular one, which is ceiling fixing the bay, wall fix on the returns, but we've got five other options here.
Option one is ceiling fixing the bay only. Option five is ceiling fix fixing the bay and ceiling fix on the returns, and then three and four are wall fix track options.
So move on to the next page.
Got bending service, which is basically your bay shape. And I'm going to choose splay baby returns for this example, and it opens an image here now if you if that doesn't look like your bay shape, then select another one from the drop down menu until you find one that looks like your be shape Now if you're still not sure, then go on to the bay window styles page and have a look at some images, and there's some names underneath them, then come back to the calculator and choose that one. Now if you still can't make your mind up and you're still uncertain, then send us a photo of your bay window here. We'll have a look at it. We'll advise you which one to use from the calculator.
And if it doesn't exist, we'll create a new template, add it to the calculator quickly, and then email you to let you know it's available.
Next step is middle of the track options. These bay track come in two halves and with the joining splice in the center, but you also have the option to have an overlap arm if you want. And that overlap arm can be in either direction. I'm gonna choose the overlap arm option to add to our bay track, and I'm going to choose right over left.
Then we've got some optional extras. We've got, curtain breaks, we got curtain rods, and we've got curtain hocks. And the, brakes and the rods have videos showing what they are and how they work. Now I'm gonna select yes to the, curtain brakes because I want to add them. Because if your track is fixed to a ceiling, the ceiling is not perfectly level because these track glide really well, you may find your curtains creeping either open or close slightly after you've put them in the position that you want them, and these breaks prevent that happening.
Then we're onto the curtain draw rods. We've got three length options here. How high are your window, the longer the rods that you're going to need.
Then we've got curtain hooks, nylon hooks, sink metal hooks there for pencil pleat gathered curtains, and you hook the curtains up every fourth or fifth pocket with the hooks. These ink pin hooks are for fixed width curtains that have got the pleats sewn into the top, and you pierce the book room, on the back of the curtains with the pin on the hook. So I'm going to select nylon hawks. I'm going to select two packs because one pack for most bays is not quite enough.
Then you're going to upload a photo of your bay if you're ready to place your order. Now if you're just doing the research at the moment and you're not quite sure when you're gonna place an order, you can upload any photo, but you'll need to upload any photo, to to move forward. I'm just going to upload another one and my little doggy here. Right. Next, we're, on the final page here. We've got all the items that you've selected. Now if you decide that you're not happy or you want to alter any of these, then use the back button to go to that page, make your alteration, then move forward again.
Once you get back to this page and you're ready to go ahead, enter your email and confirm email. It'll open the form for you to enter your name, address, and phone number, and then you can press the press here to place your order button. Now that will send you to the order confirmation page. And on that order confirmation page is gonna be a button to the final measuring page where you give us all the final sizes for making your bay track so we know where to put the angles, what angles your track is going to be made at, and the overall size.
Now you'll also receive an email with that link in. So if you don't want to do your final sizes immediately, you can go to your email and enter the sizes later. If at any time during the process of ordering or doing your final sizes, you need any help, then we've got some contact options here below so you can get in touch with us and ask us any questions you need as you move along. So that's all there is to order a slimline bay window curtain track from Ezecurtains.
If you still have questions then please get in touch via the contact form here.
If you are not sure if this is the right track for your bay. Then get in touch with us here. Please send us a photo of your bay and let us know how you want your curtains to hang. Such as in front of the sill. Or down to the sill. Staying in the bay, or returning out of the bay. You can watch the video here that shows you how to take a great photo showing everything we need to see.
Hi, I'm Lee Stevens from Ezecurtains.co.uk and I want to talk to you about photos, photos that you'll send to me through the contact form when you're making an inquiry, or photos that you attach to an order like a bay window curtain track order. Now, we need to see a full shot of the bay. So we need you to stand on the far side of the room so you can get the top of the window in where the track's going to fit, also, the full windows ill around the bay, and out each side of the bay if the curtains are returning outside of the bay.
Then you may want to take a second shot of the windowsill. If you've got curtains hanging like here, pull 'them to one side, take a shot of the window sill, especially on the end because that's often critical to how the bay track is going to fit. And also how your curtains are going to hang. So below this video you will see some dos and don'ts of the right ways to do your photos.
So, please have a look, and hopefully this has helped you. And thanks very much for watching.
To place your order all you need to measure is the full width around your bay (NOT just across the bay). Then if you want the curtain to hang out of the bay on each side in the room. ***This will clear more of the bay side windows giving more light***
Add another 20 to 30cm for each return on to the size around your bay.
Basically Measuring where you would like the track to fit end to end.
This total size is what you will enter in the first box on the order form.
DON'T worry about being super accurate at this stage. Within a few cm's is fine. You will need to be more accurate when sending your final sizes. Again you don't need to worry as you will have a template to follow.
The video below gives you an overview of the ordering/measuring process.
If you still have questions then take a look at the more detailed ordering page How to place an order with us.
Still not sure then get in touch with us via the contact form. Attach a photo of your whole bay window.
These curtain styles CAN be hung from any of our standard glider curtain tracks.
These curtain heading styles you CAN'T hang from our standard glider curtain tracks.
Watch this video and discover what we mean when you see the word "returns" on this website.
Hi. I'm Lee Stevens from ezecurtains.co.uk
And I want to talk returns to you. We talk on this website about bay returns and we talk about curtain track returns.
Now, a return is like up here.
Now this, the track comes out of the bay and returns onto the wall into the room. Now, that's a return. Now, if you've got a bay that may be a five-sided bay and you've got a bit of wall here on the side, that is not a return. That's just an internal bend. It only returns if it comes out onto the wall here.
Now returns can be pretty much any size you want them to be except there needs to be a minimum of fifteen centimeters. So we've got a flat track here that is on a wall-fixed bracket it can clip comfortably back into the bracket. If it's curved, then the bracket won't connect into the back of the track. Now, some people want their return to fill the entire space on the wall, on the side of the base. That's absolutely fine. So you can have a big return, but typically you'll have a return around about twenty centimeters coming out of the corner of the bay across to the side here.
So I hope that's useful, and now you know what we need and what we call a return. When you're ordering, you'll understand what we're talking about.
You can also read more about "returns" here on this page.
If you are fitting your bay track to the ceiling. Either in the bay only, or on the returns as well. Then you may want to add "brakes" to your order. Watch this video and see what they are.
Hi. I'm Lee Stevens from ezecurtains.co.uk
And I want to talk to you about our slimline tracks, straight tracks, or bay tracks. And we've got an option which is brakes that you can add to your order. So what are brakes and what do they do? So let's go and have a quick look.
Okay. I've unhooked the first couple of hooks on the curtain just to get it out of the way, and we've got the first glider here now with the curtain draw rod in. You can order these when you're ordering your track should you want them. And we use them for opening and closing the curtains. I'm using them pretty much on all the curtains that we sell on this website and we fit ourselves.
Right. Let's get back to the brake. We've got the brake here which effectively is a glider and it's got a springy bit on the top that creates the brake. This goes and sits inside the glider channel and rubs along the top and creates a little bit of friction but not so much friction that it makes it difficult opening and closing your curtains.
Now this glider, if we look or the brake glider, we look side on, we've got little grooves that fit into the channel. And also if I hold it this way, you can see that it's offset. So there's a front and a back. And this side here is the front we want facing forwards on the track. So let's go and have a look at how simple it is to get this in position on your track now. And it's going to be the leading glider on each side of your track.
Okay. Just reinforcing that we want the glider channel to be facing to the front of the track and not off this side here. That's the back of the track. So we get the little springy bit inside the glider channel.
We push the back groove into the track so it's at an angle now and we use our finger to swing it and pop it forward. Now that brake glider is in position.
Now let's have a quick look at how it affects the flowing of the curtains.
Right. So we got the curtain hooked back in now, and we've got the leading glider, which is the brake glider hooks in and if we push the curtains back, they stay exactly where you want them.
We open them around here, they stop exactly where we leave them. So even though it's only a little bit of friction, it doesn't cause any problems on the opening and closing your curtains, but can solve some annoying problems of the curtain creeping open after you've put it back in the open position.
So again, you can order these with your curtain track or you can order them as a separate item if you decide that you want them afterwards.
So, I hope that was useful.
Just in case you skipped the video at the top of the page. I have put it here as it shows a close-up of the track and the brackets. You don't need to worry about choosing the correct brackets. We use your order details and your bay photo to select the optimum brackets for your bay track

Okay. So we've got the track fitted up to the ceiling now and we want to make those brackets look a little bit more attractive. So we have a cover here that we can slide on like so, and then just simply push on a locking position, and it just makes everything look so super neat, so that's it.
