Perfect for tall or heavier curtains
Corded operation gives you smooth, controlled movement on wide bays and long drops. Great for blackout-lined, velvet, chenille, or brocade curtains
Practical where access is tricky
Got a sofa in the bay or a deep windowsill? A side cord lets you open and close the curtains without leaning over furniture.

🎥 See How Wave Curtain Work!
This video shows wave curtains hanging from our slimline wave track. However, all our wave tracks work the same.
Introduction to Wave Curtains
Hi, welcome to Easy Curtains. Wave curtains are all about the gliders on the track that create the signature wave form. You can see in the image here that there’s a small cord between the gliders. As you pull one glider along, it pulls the next one behind it, keeping them all evenly spaced across the track.
How the Wave Effect is Created
When you draw the curtains across, the evenly spaced gliders create that lovely undulating wave effect from top to bottom. This effect is entirely down to the gliders, not the curtains themselves — although we have used wave tape on these curtains, it’s not the tape that creates the wave. The magic is in the track gliders.
Spacing the Curtain Hooks
The spacing of the hooks on your curtains is also key. Your wave gliders should be set in from both the leading edges and the outside edges of your curtains by about six to seven pockets. The remaining hooks should then be spaced evenly across the rest of the curtain.
Achieving an Even, Pleasing Look
This even spacing ensures that the waves run consistently across the curtains when opened or closed, giving you that neat, balanced, and very pleasing appearance.
- Wave curtains use special gliders on the track, connected by a small cord to keep spacing even.
- As the gliders move, they create the signature flowing wave effect — the “magic” is in the track, not the curtain tape.
- Set gliders about 6–7 pockets in from both the leading and outside edges of your curtains.
- Space the remaining hooks evenly across the curtain for consistent waves.
- Correct spacing ensures a neat, balanced look when curtains are open or closed.
Practical where access is tricky
Corded Mechanism – Quiet, Reliable, Neat
A low-friction corded system routes through the track for smooth, even movement. Choose your draw style (left, right, or split-draw) and cord side. We supply a child-safety cord tensioner to keep the cord secure and tidy on the wall.

Fitting & brackets
Ceiling-Fit in the Bay, Wall-Fix on the Returns (Optional)
Most customers ceiling-fit inside the bay for a neat, modern finish, then wall-fix the returns so the curtains park neatly on the return walls out of the bay. The included brackets are strong, tidy, and easy to position.
Wall fixed within the bay is sometimes possible. However, please get in touch with us via the contact form and send a photo of your bay window. We will advise you on what is possible.

For most bay windows with multiple bends, we add a cord control to each side as standard. This makes opening and closing your curtains much easier, since each side operates its own curtain.
Yes — every corded wave bay track from Ezecurtains comes with child-safety tensioners to keep cords secure and out of reach. We also ensure the loop finishes at least 150 cm from the floor to comply with UK safety laws.
Yes — these tracks are designed for heavy fabrics such as velvet, chenille, brocade, or interlined/blackout-lined curtains. For the smoothest glide, choose roller wave gliders, which make moving even the heaviest curtains effortless.
Choose 60 mm for a more defined, contemporary wave, or 80 mm for a softer, fuller look. Both work perfectly with the corded system — it’s mainly down to the style you prefer.
We set the cord drop based on your installation height. When you order, we ask for this info and then deduct 150 cm to calculate the loop length. This ensures your track meets all UK child-safety laws.
