How the Modern Wave Track works
Wave curtains use gliders connected together at fixed intervals by a discreet cord inside the track.
As you draw the curtain, each glider pulls the next one behind it. This keeps the folds evenly spaced and creates the characteristic flowing Wave appearance.

A discreet alternative to a recessed Wave track
A true recessed curtain track normally needs to be planned into the ceiling during building or renovation work.
The Modern Wave Track gives you a simpler alternative. Its rounded front profile is only 12mm deep, so when it is ceiling fitted it sits neatly against the ceiling without needing to cut a channel into the plasterwork.
It does not disappear completely like a true recessed track, but it gives you a clean, understated finish with considerably less installation work.
60mm or 80mm Wave?
Both options work in the same way. The difference is mainly the size and appearance of the finished curtain folds.
80mm Wave
Creates broader, deeper folds for a softer and more flowing Wave appearance.
60mm Wave
Creates smaller, tighter folds for a slightly more compact and defined appearance.

Shaped before it arrives at your home
You are not buying a straight length of track and trying to form the bends yourself. You provide the bay measurements and we shape the track to suit your actual window.
Properly formed bends help the linked Wave gliders travel smoothly and make fitting considerably easier.

Ceiling fix in the bay, with wall returns if needed
Ceiling fixing makes the most of the Modern track’s shallow profile. If your curtains return out of the bay, the straight ends can also be wall fixed where appropriate.

Gives the cleanest appearance and allows the shallow rounded profile to sit neatly against the ceiling.
Wall-fixed returns
Where the track continues outside the bay, the straight returns can be wall fixed so the curtains finish neatly against the walls.

Wave curtains need space to move
Wave curtains fold backwards and forwards beneath the track, so they need more clearance than conventional curtains.
The track needs to sit far enough away from window handles, sills and other obstructions for those folds to travel freely around the bay.

You will need curtains made for Wave heading
The linked gliders control the spacing, but your curtains also need the correct Wave heading and hook arrangement to produce the finished Wave effect.
Wave heading
Your curtains should use suitable Wave heading tape with the hooks positioned correctly for the system.
Existing Wave curtains
If you already have Wave curtains, check that their heading is compatible with the 60mm or 80mm spacing you select.
Ordinary curtain headings
Conventional pencil pleat, pinch pleat, eyelet or tab-top curtains will not create the Wave effect on this track.

No. It is a surface-mounted track. Its shallow 12mm rounded profile simply allows it to sit discreetly against the ceiling.
What is the difference between Modern Wave and Regular Wave?
Both use the same Wave principle. The main difference is the track profile. Modern Wave has a shallow rounded front designed to give a more discreet, contemporary appearance.
Should I choose 60mm or 80mm Wave?
Choose 80mm for broader, deeper folds or 60mm for a tighter, more compact appearance. Both work in the same way.
Can I use lined or blackout Wave curtains?
Yes. The Modern Wave Track is suitable for the type of lined and blackout Wave curtains normally used in domestic bay windows. For unusually heavy curtains, consider the Slimline Wave Track.
Can the returns outside my bay be wall fixed?
Yes. The track can be ceiling fixed within the bay with suitable straight returns wall fixed outside it.
