This is our Slimline Double Bay Window Curtain Tracks – a more compact version of our popular regular double track. It’s perfect for bay windows where space is tight, or if you simply want a more discreet look without sacrificing functionality. 👍
They’re custom made to follow the exact shape of your bay, and fitted with two separate tracks: one for your sheer curtains at the back, and one for your main curtains at the front. That means no dragging, no snags, and a really polished finish.
This track still works beautifully with pencil pleat or pinch pleat curtains. It’s a popular choice for wave-style curtains on the main track too, thanks to the shallower front profile.

🧰 How Do the Slimline Double Bay Window Curtain Tracks Work?
Just like our regular double track, this setup gives you two separate tracks – one for sheer curtains at the back, and one for your main curtains at the front.
The difference is in the profile. The Slimline track uses a narrower rail and a slightly smaller gap between the tracks, so it’s perfect for tighter bays or customers looking for a more subtle appearance.
Once fitted, your curtains glide smoothly – no snags, no tugging. And because the whole system is fitted to the ceiling inside the bay, it gives you a really tidy, seamless finish

Track Setup
We’ve got the setup here showing sheer curtains hanging on the rear track, and the main curtains hanging on the front track, positioned around 10 cm in front.
The sheer curtains fit neatly within the bay, while the main curtains return out of the bay on each side.
How the Sheer Curtains Work
Here you can see the sheer curtains stacked back inside the bay. They don’t go fully behind the main curtains, and the only reason you’d usually open them is for cleaning or window maintenance.
Track Construction
Both of these tracks come in two halves, joined together with a centre joining splice. You can see this clearly in the image attached to this page.
Overlap Arm Option
On this particular setup, we’ve added an overlap arm on the right-hand side. You can see an image appear on screen showing what it looks like. This is completely optional — you can include it if you prefer, or leave it out.
How It Looks in Use
When the main curtains are closed, the overlap arm allows the two sides to meet perfectly in the middle, giving a neat, professional finish.
With the 10 cm gap between the main curtains and the sheers, you can open and close the main curtains freely without them dragging the sheers along.

🪟 What Curtains Work Best?
Our slimline double bay window curtain tracks are suitable for:
- Pencil pleat curtains (3″ or 6″)
- Pinch pleat
- Wave-style curtains (please ask for details)
We often recommend this track for wave curtains in particular, as the compact profile helps the wave to hold its shape and gives you that neat, hotel-style look. So the front track can be made with wave gliders. Then the rear track made with standard gliders. We don’t recommend wave gliders for both tracks. As it becomes unmanageable.

Our slimline tracks are compatible with all standard curtain headings that use hooks, including pencil pleat, double pleat, and triple pleat styles. They work beautifully for both sheers and heavier curtains too.
Just avoid curtain styles like eyelet, tab top, or slot top – those don’t work with glider-style tracks.
Yes, you can! Ceiling fixings are used inside the bay, while wall fixings are usually used on the return ends. We’ll provide the correct brackets based on your bay shape and measurements – no guesswork needed.
