If you are not sure if this is the right track for your bay. Then get in touch with us here. Please send us a photo of your bay and let us know how you want your curtains to hang. Such as in front of the sill. Or down to the sill. Staying in the bay, or returning out of the bay. You can watch the video here that shows you how to take a great photo showing everything we need to see.

To place your order all you need to measure is the full width around your bay (NOT just across the bay). Then if you want the curtain to hang out of the bay on each side in the room. ***This will clear more of the bay side windows giving more light***

Add another 20 to 30cm for each return on to the size around your bay.

Basically Measuring where you would like the track to fit end to end.

This total size is what you will enter in the first box on the order form.

DON'T worry about being super accurate at this stage. Within a few cm's is fine. You will need to be more accurate when sending your final sizes. Again you don't need to worry as you will have a template to follow.

There is only one kind of curtain style that can be hung from this track.That is curtains with a wave heading tape. Take a look at the video here to see how they work. Just in case you missed the video higher up the page.

If you're not sure how a wave bay track works?

Then it's simply a curtain track system that makes your curtain headings form into a wave shape. So making your curtains hang smoothly undulating back and forth from top to bottom. The magic ingredient is the gliders in the track.

These gliders are all connected to each other with a slim cord that only allows the spaces between the gliders to reach a maximum of either 6cm or 8cm apart. So as the first glider get pulled along the track. The cord behind it then pulls the next glider along until it then pulls the next glider along. Creating the even spacing of the gliders. Which in turn creates those even undulating folds in your curtains.

Glider options - 8cm or 6cm spaced wave gliders

Other than the obvious 2cm difference is spacing between the gliders. Which one would you choose and why?

If you choose the 6cm spaced wave gliders you will end up with slightly more gliders across the width of the track compared to the 8cm spaced gliders. This means not just more gliders but more inportantly more curtain waves being created across your track.

Compared again to the 8cm wave gliders not only will you have a few more waves in the curtains. Those waves will be slimmer. so the 8cm gliders give your curtains a wider more rounded wave effect. The 6cm gliders will give your curtains a slimmer more angled wave effect.

Practical reason between the 2 glider choices?

The only practical thing to consider with regular wave bay window curtain tracks is the stack back. When the curtains are open and stacked back to the sides of your window. How much space will they take up?

If you have limited space on each side of your window. Then the 8cm spaced wave gliders will be your best option. You will have a few fewer wave pleats to stack back away from the window area.

If you have lots of space on the sides of your window and you are happy with the curtains covering this area. Then which size wave glider is purely down which look do you prefer. The wider wave or the narrower wave.

We prefit these as standard on our slimline wave bay window curtain track. They stop the waves in your curtains from creeping back open when stacked back off the window.

This slimline wave bay window curtain track can be either ceiling-fixed in the bay (mty recommendation for most bays). Or sometimes wall fixed depending on the depth of the window sill.

Then if your wave bay track returns out of the bay on each side into the room. It will be supplied with 10cm projection wall brackets by default. That is Unless the returns on the track will fit to the ceiling. This is when the ceiling in the room is at the same height as the ceiling in the bay. In this situation, your bay tack will be all ceiling fixed.

Select option 5 on the "Track fixing to?" menu on the calculator.
