🎥 See How Wave Curtain Work!
This video shows wave curtains hanging from our slimline wave track. However, all our wave tracks work the same.
Introduction to Wave Curtains
Hi, welcome to Easy Curtains. Wave curtains are all about the gliders on the track that create the signature wave form. You can see in the image here that there’s a small cord between the gliders. As you pull one glider along, it pulls the next one behind it, keeping them all evenly spaced across the track.
How the Wave Effect is Created
When you draw the curtains across, the evenly spaced gliders create that lovely undulating wave effect from top to bottom. This effect is entirely down to the gliders, not the curtains themselves — although we have used wave tape on these curtains, it’s not the tape that creates the wave. The magic is in the track gliders.
Spacing the Curtain Hooks
The spacing of the hooks on your curtains is also key. Your wave gliders should be set in from both the leading edges and the outside edges of your curtains by about six to seven pockets. The remaining hooks should then be spaced evenly across the rest of the curtain.
Achieving an Even, Pleasing Look
This even spacing ensures that the waves run consistently across the curtains when opened or closed, giving you that neat, balanced, and very pleasing appearance.
Made to measure, pre-shaped (no on-site bending)
We build your track to your bay’s exact shape from your sizes, so the curves are crisp and accurate. That means:
- No “kinks” from on-site bending
- Better gliding through the corners
- A faster, cleaner install
Fixing options for your bay
Pick the option that suits your room and light control:
- 1. Ceiling fix – cleanest look; track blends into the ceiling
- 2. Wall fix with returns – lets curtains return out of the bay to the wall for improved blackout
- 3. Mixed fixing – perfect for awkward bays or uneven surfaces

60mm vs 80mm wave spacing — which to choose?
- 80mm spacing = deeper, more flowing folds (uses a little less fabric)
- 60mm spacing = neater, tighter look (slightly more fabric)
Both run smoothly — it’s mainly about the look you prefer and how much fullness you want.
