Bay Window Curtain Track Fitting Videos
If you’ve bought one of our made-to-measure bay window curtain tracks (or you’re just doing a bit of homework before ordering), these fitting guides will walk you through the whole process in plain English.
I’m Lee from Ezecurtains, and I’ve recorded these videos to help you fit your track confidently — even if you’re not “a DIY person”. Most customers are surprised how straightforward it is once you see it done.

Choose Your Fitting Guide
Pick the guide that matches the track you’ve ordered (or the one you’re planning to order):
Standard Corded Bay Track
Step-by-step fitting guide for our standard corded bay tracks, including wall brackets, ceiling brackets, and the child-safety cord tensioner.
Regular Bay Track
The most popular choice for most bay windows. This guide shows the full fitting method in a simple, no-faff way.
Slimline Bay Track
Fitting guide for our slimmer, more discreet track — ideal when you want a neat, unobtrusive look.
Slimline Bay Track (Single-Handed)
A one-person method for fitting a slimline track supplied in two halves using a joining splice.
Tools You’ll Usually Need
- Drill / driver
- Step ladder
- Tape measure
- Pencil
- Suitable drill bit(s) for your surface (often a 6mm masonry bit if you’re drilling into masonry)
- Wall plugs & screws (we supply fixings, but surfaces vary — so use what’s best for your ceiling/walls)
Before You Start (Two Quick Tips)
1) Don’t panic about the brackets
People often worry about getting bracket positions perfect. The key is taking your time, marking carefully, and keeping things level/parallel. The videos show you exactly where to start and how to adjust if needed.
2) If something doesn’t feel secure, there’s always a simple fix
Different ceilings and walls behave differently. If a fixing doesn’t bite properly first time (especially into plasterboard), it’s usually a quick job to shift slightly, plug properly, and refit. I show that sort of thing in the videos too.
Frequently Asked Questions
Match it to the track you’ve ordered: Regular, Slimline, or Standard Corded. If you’re fitting slimline in two halves and doing it on your own, use the single-handed guide.
Not at all. If you can measure, mark, drill and screw, you’ll be fine. And if you’re unsure at any point — that’s exactly why these guides exist.
Send me a photo of your bay and where you’re up to. I’ll point you in the right direction. It’s usually something small like bracket position, fixing type, or a quick tweak to keep things level.
Want Me to Check Something Before You Start?
If you’d like me to double-check your bay shape, your fixing surface (ceiling/wall), or where you’re planning to fit the track, just send me a quick photo and a couple of notes — I’ll help you get it right first time.
