Made to Measure curtain tracks – FAQ’s

Frequently asked questions

1How do I measure my window correctly?

It’s simple — measure the full width of your window, then add an extra 15–30 cm on each side so your curtains can sit clear of the glass when open. That’s your total track width. Then decide if you’re fitting to the ceiling or the wall above the window.

Tip from Lee: if you’re unsure, send Ezecurtains a quick photo of your window and I’ll confirm exactly what to measure.

2Where do you deliver to?

We deliver across the whole of mainland UK — from Cornwall to the Highlands (excluding islands). Most orders arrive within 5–7 working days.

Your track will arrive well packed in strong, recyclable, plastic-free packaging.

3I’m not sure I can fit these myself — what should I do?

Our tracks are DIY-friendly and we include step-by-step fitting videos with every order. If you’d prefer not to fit it yourself, a local handyman can usually install a bay track in under an hour. Most of our customers tell us it was much easier than they expected.

4What’s the difference between corded and hand-drawn tracks?

A corded track uses a pull cord (like a blind), so you don’t have to touch the fabric — ideal for tall or wide windows, or delicate linings. A hand-drawn track is just as smooth, but you pull the curtains across by hand.

5Will this track work with my existing curtains?

In most cases, yes! If your curtains have heading tape with hooks (pencil pleat or double/triple pleat), they’ll work perfectly with our tracks. The only styles that won’t work are eyelet, tab top, or slot top curtains — those need a pole instead.

6How long does it take to receive my track?

Most tracks are custom-made and dispatched within 5–7 working days. You’ll receive a dispatch email with tracking details so you can follow your delivery all the way to your door.

7Can I return the track if it doesn’t fit?

Because every track is made to measure, they can’t be returned or reused. But don’t worry — follow our measuring guides and we’ll make sure it’s right first time. If you’re not sure, get in touch before ordering — Lee at Ezecurtains is always happy to double-check your measurements with you.
